Thank you for the kind remarks! Yes, sadly moose and deer do get injured jumping fences and have even been impaled on decorative wrought iron fences. If the animal is attracted to something on the other side of the fence, or perhaps thinks it’s not possible to go around it, they’ll just jump it, and there’s not much a homeowner can do. I’ve witnessed moose catching their rear hooves on fences as they jump over them.
