Thanks for taking the time to comment! I really value and appreciate your feedback. It’s wonderful to hear how everyone responded to your garden scarecrow. It’s so rewarding to make people cheerful, isn’t it? I personally love use of the human form in garden art. The scarecrow idea came from Our Fairfield Home & Garden (to give credit where it’s due) but I made my “miss Emily” from their instructions and I love her! She is a fixture in my garden every summer that would not be the same without her. I hope more people will introduce such creativity to their yards and gardens. That’s what Make it a Garden is all about!

I hosted a garden show several years ago and made a garden scare crow with a lady figure. She was the hit of the show and yours ideas are wonderful.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Teresa! The link to the step-by-step instructions is about mid-way down the post. The design came from another garden-blogger and they rightfully need to get the credit. It’s “Our Fairfield Home & Garden” who gave me permission to link to their site. Here’s the link for the Garden Scarecrow instructions.https://ourfairfieldhomeandgarden.com/diy-project-wood-scrap-scarecrow-my-garden-maiden/ You’ll love it! And it’s not too hard to make. I made one myself, so I know you can, too!
