Hi Lorna, thanks for reading the post. You might be getting aphids confused with Spruce Bark Beetles which are effecting areas in my neck of the woods as well. The soap and water solution won’t work on the beetles and is intended only for use on house and garden plants. Thanks again!

I know that Homer is experiencing an aphid invasion…aphids are killing mature spruce trees there. I will be armed and ready if the time comes to deal with them if they reach my place.
